Rod Rocket was an animated adventure telecast in syndication. It was the first production on the Filmation animation studio, subcontracted to them by True Line.
Rod and his pal Joey are sent to explore outer space by scientist Professor Angus in their spaceship Little Argo. While Professor Angus waits for them with his granddaughter Cassie, Rod and Joey encounter two inept cosmonauts in their adventures.
The series is made up of 130 episodes comprised from four story arcs. SIB Productions would eventually merge with Chuck Jones' Tower-12 company which would make new Tom and Jerry cartoons.
