Plot Overview
Someone taking a shot at Diamond hits and kills a neighboring businessman in his building. Under the belief that it was an attempt on his life, he discovers from Lt. McGough that an old friend of his, a mobster he put away for extortion, is out and wants to get back at him. The crook catches up with Diamond and gets into a knock-down, drag-out fight with him, but he points out that his gun couldn't have been the murder weapon...it's a disabled war souvenir. Diamond soon discovers that he wasn't the real target after all when he learns of his fellow tenant's illicit business.
