Based on the young-adult novel by Blake Nelson, Recovery Road follows a teenage girl's struggle with addiction. After being confronted by her school guidance counselor, Maddie is forced to choose between rehab and being expelled, and she subsequently moves into a sober-living facility while still dealing with the normal pressures of being a teenager.
