From The TV IV

Primeval is a science fiction adventure drama. Professor Cutter and his team investigate spontaneously appearing time portals that lead to other geologic ages, and the prehistoric creatures that come through these gateways. Cutter also tries to find his wife, who disappeared years ago into such a time anomaly.
