Philco Television Playhouse is a dramatic anthology that aired on NBC.
Airing on alternating weeks with the Goodyear Television Playhouse in some seasons, original plays, as well as plays adapted from popular novels, were presented in this series named for its sponsor, electronics manufacturer Philco. The series was revamped in 1955 as The Alcoa Hour after Alcoa took over sponsorship.
