Plot Overview
A young Hispanic boy shows up at Edie's, wanting to hire Pete to find the persons responsible for the beating of his father. He has to wonder what's going on when the boy vanishes from Edie's, his adoptive parents insist that the father is still in Mexico, and the father, who's in the hospital, insists that his injuries are the result of a fall and not a beating. Pete knows he's on to something when he's wounded in a drive-by shooting after visiting the father in the hospital.
