Plot Overview

Young ingenue Kathy Anders has been seen around town on the arm of movie producer Anthony Fry, but she's not in love with him...she blames him for driving her father, his former film editor, to suicide, and she's out to get the goods on him. When Fry catches Kathy going through a drawer at his home, he accosts her, and she defends herself by striking him with a film award. When Fry's body is found, Kathy is arrested. She insists that she only struck him once and ran from the room. Perry suspects that someone else came by shortly afterward and delivered a second and fatal blow and agrees to defend her.
