Plot Overview

Ex-con Tony Polk takes a job as an assistant to a local TV personality, where his job is to dress up like a pirate and deliver gifts to viewers. One of the 'viewers' is a woman who's expecting an envelope with money, and when Tony arrives at her apartment without the envelope, she starts screaming and accusing him of stealing the money. He strikes her with his buccaneer hook, and is witnessed by a neighbor fleeing the scene. The woman is indeed dead from a puncture wound caused by a hook-like object, and Tony is arrested. Perry checks into his new boss's background to find out exactly why he was being blackmailed and discovers that the TV star is a bigamist.
