Basic Information
Kareem Saïd is one of the most powerful character among inmates of Oswald correctional facility. He quickly becomes the leader of the Muslims and launches a jihad against drugs in Oz. the character is very much reminiscent of the influential black political activist Malcolm X with his charisma. Although a member of "nation of islam" Said does not isolate himself from white inmates, Tobias Beecher who is an ex-alcoholic and gay among them. Said is a learned man who can arrange ties with media and handle legal activities for protection of rights of inmates, although we are not informed how come.
