Ottoman Empire: The War Machine is a documentary on the six century reign of the Ottoman Empire. It was originally scheduled to air on June 22, 2006 but was pulled from the schedule at the last minute. Some speculated that it caved to political pressure because of controversial World War I events depicted in the documentary. This allegation was denied by The History Channel who claimed the series wasn't yet complete.^[1] A little over two months later it premiered on August 26, 2006.
