Orphan Black/Characters

Orphan Black centers around several identical clones, "the orphans", most of which grew up unaware of each other and the fact that they were all concieved as a part of a secret biological experiment, called Project Leda and orchestrated by a movement attempting to push the limits of human evolution: "Neolution". Since the Orphans experiment in the beginning of the 1980's, the Neolution movement has evolved into an international biotech company, the Dyad Institute, which continue to study the orphans through "monitors", persons planted into their personal lives. Meanwhile, a secret religious cult, the Proletheans, has learnt about the orphans, and attempts to have them killed off, viewing them as an abomination. Eventually, a male clone project, Project Castor, is revealed. Unlike the Leda clones, they were brought up together, as a top secret military force.
