Orange Roughies is a crime drama about a joint police and customs inter-agency task force.

The series was pulled due to disappointing ratings after eight episodes, although some twenty episodes had been produced in total.^[1] The series was announced to return later the same year on TV One, but never did. In late 2007, companion channel TVNZ 6 started a rerun and continued on to broadcast the remaining episodes.

An orange roughy is a kind of fish.
