One Step Beyond was a paranormal anthology series that ran from 1959 through 1961. It was one of many Alcoa sponsored anthology series that ran in the two decades. Unlike the better known The Twilight Zone (which ran at the same time), One Step Beyond claimed that its stories were based on true events. Along with The Twilight Zone, One Step Beyond helped spark interest in the paranormal.
Though short lived, the series was popular enough to spawn a sequel series in 1978 with The Next Step Beyond.
