Each episode of On the Spot (2003) has a storyline, but instead of the usual scripted jokes, rehearsed performances and laugh tracks, the show is largely improvised. The ensemble cast takes audience suggestions that can turn the plot upside-down in a heartbeat. Not only does the audience offer suggestions for each week's plot, they may find themselves on camera as hotel guests and patrons in the lounge.
