From The TV IV

Odyssey 5 is a sci-fi drama that aired on Showtime. The show starts out with an astronaut crew in a space shuttle witnessing the destruction of Earth from high orbit. Right after this terrible tragedy a friendly alien comes along and offers to send the crew five years back in time to prevent this disaster from happening. The crew has to figure out who is responsible for destroying the planet and at the same time deal with their own pasts.
