Nashville is a reality soap that aired on FOX. The series centered around a group of aspiring country musicians who lived and played together in the city of Nashville. The series received a 1.7/3 rating in its series premiere, which sank to a 1.0/3 in its second episode. The series was quickly pulled after the episode with the possibility of the remaining episodes broadcasting in November.

The series was also panned by critics and reviled by the Nashville community, which considered the series to be far removed from how the city actually is. One review in the Nashville Scene, an alternative weekly magazine, had this to say about the series: "Watching Nashville is kind of like watching the shy, nerdy girl get a babelicious makeover in a teen romantic comedy and stumble awkwardly in heels for the first time. You're kinda rooting for her to become the sophisticated lady you know she can be, but secretly you wish she’d just had the balls to stay weird." The magazine also remarked that Nashvillians likely aren't comfortable with Nashville because it simply "ain't us."

FOX eventually decided to cancel the series instead of broadcasting the remaining episodes. Although production has been shut down, producers for the series are attempting to sell Nashville to another network.
