Plot Overview
A horrific automobile accident occurs near a city park, but the detectives have reason to believe that it wasn't an accident...the driver of the car died from a gunshot to the back of the head. A beautiful brunette is the only survivor, and she is very uncooperative with the cops. The case takes on a high priority when it is learned that the driver was the foreman of a jury in a Syndicate trial, and that the other dead man was an out-of-state hired killer. Parker then puts pressure on the girl, who refuses to even reveal her name. He tells her that she's facing serious charges including murder and conspiracy to commit murder. After the girl's picture appears in the paper, the District Attorney receives a visit from an old friend, a once-respected lawyer who's now a pathetic drunk, who insists that the girl in the picture is his daughter, whom he thought to be dead. Flint believes that talking to both the girl and her estranged father will lead them to her circle of friends and, possibly, the person who hired the killer.
