My World... and Welcome to It is a sitcom that aired on NBC. It very loosely based on a series of short stories and illustrations of the same name by James Thurber.

John Monroe is a writer and cartoonist for The Manhattanite magazine, where his thoughts and and fantasies come to life through Thurber-esque illustrations brought to life by animation (by the DePatie-Freleng studio). Coping with Monroe is his wife Ellen and daughter Lydia.

The show ran one season in 1969-70 and then replayed in 1972 by CBS. The show won two Emmys in 1970s, for Actor in a Comedy Series (William Windom) and Outstanding Comedy Series.
