Boogeyman is the twentieth episode of the first season of My Name Is Earl, and the twentieth episode overall. Earl helps a boy get over his fear of the dark, a fear Earl himself caused.

[edit] Plot Overview

Six years ago, Earl, Joy, Dodge and Randy broke into Albie's house. When it turned out the family wasn't gone for long, the gang scattered. Earl hid under Albie's bed. Earl scared Albie who left his lights on ever since. In the present, Earl is Albie's slave for a day. After finding Albie's real problem, he's scared of the dark, Earl offers to help him get over his fear. When Albie is cured he runs away to Earl's and causes a kidnapping panic. When his dad comes to rescue him, Albie realizes that his dad cares for him after all. Of course Albie doesn't tell the police fast enough and Earl and Randy get a tear gas canister in the room. Joy uses the police situation to shill her new metrosexual nail program. And Catalina is hiding afraid the SWAT team is after her because she's an illegal immigrant.
