Plot Overview
Wesley is annoyed by the no-nonsense Miss Prichard, who keeps a very tight rein on the mischief-maker, but he makes quick friends with Perry ... that is, until Perry offers to help Wesley dry off after a shower. Wesley makes up a quick excuse and runs off. The next day at camp, Wesley says he'd rather put up with Miss Prichard than be alone with Perry again. Perry is offended and says he thought they were friends, but Wesley says Prichard is calling and goes to her activity.
A pair of discarded binoculars helps unravel why Wesley is so quiet and edgy.
Belvedere takes a call from the Huffnagles, saying some creeper is using the binocs to peep at their daughter while she was in the shower! Wesley comes into the kitchen and, when confronted, doesn't know what Belvedere is talking about ... when Kevin walks by and notes the new binoculars he found in trash, saying it was a shame someone threw them away.
Belvedere realizes Perry gave Wesley the binoculars as a gift and wants to know what's going on. Wesley is still evasive ...
... until the final day at camp, when the campers have their final program. George, Marsha and Belevedere are there, and Miss Prichard is as usual over the top. One of Wesley's new friends, Kyle, announces he's getting a ride home with Perry, which surprises Wesley and immediately raises red flags, because he thought Kyle's parents were coming. Perry comes and says it's time to go home; he's got the convertible top down and they're going to stop for burgers and a movie on the way. Just as they're leaving, Wesley calls out, "Wait – don't go with him." Marsha wants to know what's going on and why he can't ... and then Wesley reveals that Perry came on to him and he's worried that something might happen to Kyle, too.
George and Belvedere advance on Perry, who tries to back off ...
... and then the scene switches quickly to the aftermath. Perry has apparently been taken to the police station for questioning – it's implied Miss Prichard and the lead counselor had no knowledge of Perry's behavior – and Belvedere was making a statement to the police. George and Marsha praise Wesley for speaking up when he did, otherwise things might not have turned out so well for Kyle (to say the least). Marsha says it's OK to cry, but Wesley finds more comfort in causing more (harmless) mischief instead!
In the final scene, Christopher Hewitt and Brice Beckham talk with viewers about what to do if a situation like what was seen in this episode happens.
