Plot Overview

The victim is the owner and operator of an international bailiff service that specializes in high-end vehicle repossessions. The killer is Lexi Moore, who is also responsible for the murders of Judge Natalie Rodman and auto mechanic Mark Duff. Three years have passed since the events of the previous episode and this one. As Angie and Oscar are no longer with the department, and Lucas has been reassigned to Internal Affairs, the Metro Vancouver Homicide Squad now consists of Staff Sergeant Gavin Saunders (previously with Internal Affairs), and Detectives Paula Mazur and Mitch Kennecki (who was removed from the staff by Oscar and has bounced around the department before returning to Homicide). Paula and Kennecki arrive at a gruesome murder scene where the victim was chopped to pieces by the back rotor blade of a helicopter. This was more than likely not an accident, as the victim also had marks around his throat, possibly from a garrot. The discovery of grey cat hairs at the scene, similar to those found at the unsolved murder of Judge Rodman, prompts Paula to call Angie, now a Paris-based Interpol agent, as it technically still is Angie's case. Saunders also enlists the aid of Lucas, who worked on the original investigation. As for Oscar, he is involved peripherally, as his investigation firm, the Tabula Rasa Society, is representing two people of interest in the case: the dead man's daughter and son-in-law. The son-in-law went to prison on statutory rape charges for his initial involvement with his wife...she was 16 and he was 19 when they were sexually involved, and her father turned them in. Their young son is an aspiring radio DJ, whose mentor is the boyfriend of Lexi Moore. Just like with her friend Meredith, whom she felt was destroyed by Rodman and Duff, Lexi feels that the abuse that her friend is taking is the fault of the current victim. For Angie, time is of the essence in proving all of that, as she's been ordered to return to Paris immediately, but she is willing to ignore that fact and complete the investigation. She goes to confront the crazed Lexi, but the confrontation almost costs Angie her life.
