Plot Overview
The victim is a high-society woman and the wife of a popular quarterback for Vancouver's team. The killer is a high profile baker. At first, it looks like the victim was killed in an automobile accident, but Betty's autopsy shows that she died of anaphylactic shock due to a peanut allergy, and indeed, peanut oil was found on her body. Angie and her team have to deal with the pressure that the victim's husband is putting upon them to solve the case. Investigation reveals that both women were being blackmailed, and that the blackmail has something to do with the baker's husband's mysterious death in a boating accident, for which his body was never found. It's that information, along with a shocking secret about the dead woman, that leads the detectives to the motive. All through the case, Angie, Oscar, Lucas and Betty all get into it with the obnoxious Kennecki. It's a final act of stupidity on his part that just might give Oscar a reason to get rid of him, possibly for good.
