Plot Overview
The killer is a pilot for a small airline, who's engaged to be married. The victim is a pastry chef. Her body is found inside a freezer at her house, and freezing is the cause of death, though she suffered a blow to the head prior to being put in the freezer. Angie looks into the victim's past...she quit a perfectly good gig with one of Miami's top restaurants and turned down lucrative offers from Houston and New York to come to Vancouver, where she took a meager job at a chain restaurant despite her talent, and the dogged detective wonders if her coming to Vancouver had something to do with her untimely demise. Angie also hits a dead end with her continuing probe of the Caster murder and Neville Montgomery, and she also wonders about what's going on with Oscar, who's being very evasive about his health situation.
