- The Lin Kuei working on behalf of Shang Tsung is ironic as both Sub-Zeros attempted to assassinate him in the games.
- In the games there were two Sub-Zeros, both being brothers. It's never clarified which one is being depicted in the series.

- Sub-Zero freezes the two men and they initially seem to be frozen over. However, it cuts away and it's just two blocks of ice with transparently nothing inside.
