- The Lin Kuei working on behalf of Shang Tsung is ironic as both Sub-Zeros attempted to assassinate him in the games.

- Taja refers to the guy who attacked them in the beginning as wearing blue, even though he was clearly wearing grey.
- Sub-Zero freezes the two men and they initially seem to be frozen over. However, it cuts away and it's just two blocks of ice with transparently nothing inside.
