Basic Information
Mick St. John is a private investigator living in LA.
Character History
He grew up in West Adams and served as a medic in World War II. In 1952, he married a vampire named Coraline. He did not know she was a vampire. She turned him on their wedding night. Their relationship was very rocky and tumultuous. They were married 33 years. Mick eventually left her.
In 1985 she kidnapped a four-year-old girl, Beth Turner, in an attempt to win Mick back. Mick rescued Beth and left Coraline behind. He torched the house with Coraline trapped inside. Mick watched over Beth from a distance throughout her childhood.
When Beth was 27, she met Mick at a crime scene. She did not know he was a vampire and did not know that they shared a personal history. When things are finally starting to work out with Beth, Coraline appears again, only this time Coraline is human. Eventually Coraline gives Mick some of the cure and Mick becomes human. He loves his life as a human again and his relationship with Beth is great. But then Beth is captured by a dangerous vampire who collects rare bloodtypes and discovers Beth is a rare bloodtype. Mick becomes really worried. Mick's best friend Josef (Who is a 400 year old vampire) tries to stop Mick from going to rescue Beth, and Mick asks Josef to turn him back into a vampire. Josef does it and together they rescue Beth. Mick and Beth are dating at the end of this episode. In the last episode Beth says that she thinks that it isn't going to work, because Mick can't be human any more and she's not ready to become a vampire. Mick first tries to leave but after a few second he realizes that he can't "close the door" to Beth so he goes back through her door and he tells Beth that he loves her. Beth realizes that she simply can't live without him and they kiss.
