Season Four of Monty Python's Flying Circus premiered on October 31, 1974. In this final season of the series, John Cleese decided to leave the show, citing a feeling like he was repeating himself. With Cleese no longer in the production, the title of the show was shortened to Monty Python, effectively dropping "Flying Circus." Cleese does reappear in a cameo at one point, however, and is credited for writing in several episodes, mainly due to the sketches being versions of cut Monty Python and the Holy Grail sketches.
