From The TV IV

Monarch of the Glen (2000-2005) is a drama, set in the fictional Glenbogle estate of the Scottish highlands. Archie MacDonald is a young entrepreneur living in London, on the verge of opening his own restaurant with his girlfriend Justine, when he receives a call from his mother Molly, back home in Scotland, informing him that his aging father Hector has had an accident and he needs to come home at once. After arriving home, he is shocked and annoyed to discover, that while his father is indeed not well and did have an accident, albeit minor, it was merely a ruse to get him home to take over the management of the estate. He finds that the place is falling into disrepair and is facing bankruptcy. Now he has to decide whether to abandon his dream of running his own restaurant or to save Glenbogle, his childhood home.
