Mister Ed is a sitcom that aired on CBS.
Wilbur Post is an architect who moves into a nice home with his lovely wife Carol. Out back is what appears to be a structure that Wilbur can convert into an office for his architect work but it turns out to be a stable. The stable is occupied by a horse, a palomino, and this horse is able to talk.
When Wilbur tries to tell Carol the horse can talk, Carol thinks Wilbur has flipped his lid. Even moreso as the horse, who was named Mister Ed, will only talk to Wilbur and only when Wilbur's alone with him. His neighbors are Roger and Kay Addison, and Roger wonders if Wilbur has all his facilities about him sometimes and Ed tends to get him into some situations no horse owner should endure.
After three seasons, the Addisons moved out and were replaced by Gordon and Winnie Kirkwood. Gordon was Wilbur's commanding officer in the Army.
