Plot Overview
Hammer's Goddaughter is kidnapped during the robbery of a diamond exchange, a robbery in which the thieves didn't find what they were looking for. Shortly thereafter, the manager of the diamond exchange, an old friend of Hammer's, gives him the valuable diamond that the thieves wanted, and then disappears himself. The diamond turns out to be a fake, which results in Hammer taking a vicious pounding from two thugs who turn out to be foreign agents, and Mike begins to suspect that there's something much bigger than a mere diamond robbery going on.
