Merlin is a fantasy drama that airs on BBC1. It follows the adventures of a young wizard, Merlin who is servant to Prince Arthur Pendragon in the land of Albion. In a time where magic has been outlawed by King Uther, Arthur's father, Merlin must keep his secret concealed at all costs or face the penalty of death. With many foes along the way, Merlin and Gaius, his guardian and the court's physician, do what they can to protect the kingdom of Camelot, often setting themselves at odds with many of their kind, who seek to destroy Uther for his cruel and unyielding lack of tolerance for sorcery.

In the US, season 1 was broadcast by NBC and season 2 and on by SyFy.
