Plot Overview

After messing up during a trial, Ben decides to retire and, on the spur of the moment, go on a fishing trip. He soon finds that he can't leave trouble behind--after picking up a young Salvadoran immigrant and giving him a ride, he goes back to visit him, only to find that the young man has been killed in a suspicious-looking tractor accident.

Certain that the town's most upstanding citizens are involved in conspiracy and murder, Matlock continues to poke around, which results in him nearly getting killed in a car 'accident' and later framed for shooting Conrad, who arrived and went undercover on the farm and saw something he shouldn't have.
