Matches and Mates was a syndicated game show. It originated from two local stations during its run, WJW in Cleveland, Ohio, and WAGA in Atlanta, Georgia.
Two couples compete for prizes. In turn, a spouse calls for one of nine letters between A and I and are posed a question (in the form of a statement). The other mate called out a random number in search of the answer. Correctly doing so reveals a letter used to create a mystery item. Three items wins the game.
