Masterpiece
Masterpiece, previously Masterpiece Theatre, is a drama anthology that airs on PBS, working as an umbrella-title for imported British series, miniseries, and TV-movies.
Starting in 2008, the show was revamped in many ways. The title was shortened to Masterpiece, and throughout the year, the show is shown in three different ways. Starting in January, it as shown as Masterpiece Classic, showing period dramas, hosted by Laura Linney. Starting in June, it is shown as Masterpiece Mystery!, which takes the place of the former sister show Mystery!, hosted by Alan Cumming. And starting in October, it is shown as Masterpiece Comtemporary, showing dramas in modern settings, hosted by David Tennant.
The final Masterpiece Comtemporary programs were shown in 2011, leaving the series with only two headlines: Masterpiece Classics and Masterpiece Mystery
