Plot Overview
A southern police chief arrives in town to arrest Peggy's boyfriend, a jazz trumpet player, on a hit-and-run charge. As a favor to his loyal secretary, Mannix travels to the small town to clear up matters and discovers a hotbed of adultery and murder.
