Plot Overview
After an old war buddy is killed in an airplane explosion, Mannix travels to the dead man's hometown of San Francisco, only to discover that someone has been impersonating him and making it appear that he's a partner in the dead man's air freight business. Mannix soon finds himself caught between the Syndicate, who want the missing fortune that was in a briefcase aboard the plane, and an airline insurance investigator, who's certain Mannix was involved in the scheme.
