MXC, formerly known as Most Extreme Elimination Challenge, was created by cable network Spike TV using footage from the Japanese game show Takeshi's Castle and dubbing it over in English, the results of which have nothing to do with the original program. In the show, two teams of contestants (e.g. the adult entertainment industry vs. the home improvement industry) duke it out in painfully stupid contests of willpower and strength, such as Wall Bangers, where contestants wearing velcro suits swing on a rope at a solid wall and attempt to stick themselves to it without falling in the "toxic sludge" mud pit below. The games are refereed by Captain Tenneal (Hayato Tani), commentary is provided by hosts Vic Romano (Beat Takeshi) and Kenny Blankenship (Sonomanma Higashi), with on-the-scene reporting by Guy LeDouche (Shingo Yanagisawa).
