Basic Information
Before Oceanic 815
Margo was married to Christian Shephard and they had only one child, Jack. Margo and Christian never had a perfect marriage. Christian battled with alcoholism and infidelity.
When Jack grew up he became a doctor and worked alongside Christian, who was the chief of surgery at St. Sebastian's hospital in Los Angeles. Jack and Christian had a bumpy relationship and the final straw was when Jack reported his father to the hospital board for drinking on the job. Christian eventually left for Australia and Margo blamed Jack. Margo told Jack that it was his fault that Christian left and insited that he fly to Sydney and get his father to come home.
When Jack arrived in Sydney, Christian had already died of a heart attack. He was on his way back to Los Angeles with his father's body onboard Oceanic 815 when the plane crashed onto an island in the South Pacific. Margo, along with the rest of the world, believed that their were no survivors and that everyone onboard had died in the crash.
