Basic Information
A veteran U.N. translator with an extensive background in public relations, Communications Director Hugh McIntyre served as the public voice of The Hanso Foundation.
Abiding by his motto, "accuracy and transparency above all," McIntyre ensured that The Hanso Foundation's global partnerships were maintained with the same respect Alvar Hanso has for humanity as a whole.
Deeply committed to family values, McIntyre sat on the boards of several international family organizations and ensured that the message of The Hanso Foundation was always in alignment with its founder's mission.

Contrary to his public image of family values, McIntyre has been photographed enjoying the rather intimate company of a woman who is not his wife. The photographed woman had an ID badge identifying her as a corporate liaison officer with the Global Welfare Consortium. The former Director General of the GWC wrote a letter to the Centers for Disease Control expressing his concern over The Hanso Foundation's research work, but he was removed from his position and replaced by Peter Thompson, an executive of The Hanso Foundation. It would appear McIntyre was also sinking his claws into the GWC in his own way.
Hugh McIntyre and his mistress were killed in an "accidental" car crash.

On the May 24th episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Hugh McIntyre was a guest and answered questions regarding The Hanso Foundation and its fictional depiction on Lost. This Hugh McIntyre was different from the original photograph on the website. He claimed the original photograph was of his predecessor.
