Live with Regis and Kelly is a talk show that airs in Syndication. Premiering in 1983, the show was originally known as The Morning Show, which was a local New York program that aired on WABC-TV.
Beginning in 1988, Buena Vista Television began syndicating the series nationwide, and the series was renamed Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. Following the departure of Kathie Lee Gifford in 2000, the series was called simply Live with Regis, with Regis Philbin hosting the show alone with various guest hosts filling in while the search went on for a new permanent co-host.
On February 5, 2001, Kelly Ripa was named as permanent co-host, and the series was renamed yet again as Live with Regis and Kelly.
