KCAU-TV is an ABC affiliate in Sioux City, Iowa. The station broadcasts on digital channel 9 displayed to tuners on virtual channel 9 and is owned by Nexstar Broadcasting Group.


KCAU began in 1953 as a CBS affiliate under the KVTV call letters (now the call letters of the CBS affiliate in Laredo, Texas) with secondary affiliations with NBC and DuMont. In 1954, the station lost NBC to KTIV channel 4 beginning and lost DuMont when the network ceased operations in 1955.
