Plot Overview

Enlisted by a deaf-mute couple to help them adopt a hearing baby, both Judd and the couple are shocked when the baby's birth mother, a tawdry waitress, seeks to regain custody of the child. To make matters worse, the couple go on the run to the mountains with the child, endangering their chances of winning the case.

Characters

The confusing saga of Judd's secretary, played by Barbara Babcock...a couple of weeks before, in the episode "Citizen Ritter", her name was Helen. In this episode, it's Eloise. Some episodes credit her character simply as 'Judd's secretary'. Confusing or what?

Trivia

The Show

Amazing work by both Tom Troupe and Loretta Leversee, fine actors who are hearing people, of playing deaf-mute characters and depicting American Sign Language.
