Kate Plus 8 (Jon & Kate Plus 8 for the first five seasons) is a reality that aired on Discovery Health for two seasons and aired on TLC. It follows around the Gosselin family, which includes parents Jon and Kate as well as their 8 kids, consisting of one set of twins and one set of sextuplets. TLC had announced that the series would rebrand as Kate Plus 8 on November 2, 2009 and focus more closely on Kate but Jon got angry and ordered the cameras away from his kids. As a result filming was suspended and TLC took Jon to court for breach of contract. The series aired through November using previously shot footage and then ended. Eventually TLC did bring back Kate and the kids on a series of Kate Plus 8 specials.
