Jackson Rathbone was born in Singapore on December 21m 1984. Although he was born in the tropics he grew up in Midland, Texas. He attended a private school for the arts, Interlochen Academy in Michigan. His original plans had been to continue his education at the Royal Scottish Academy, but he changed his mind and decided to experiment with the silver screen in Los Angeles instead. One of his first jobs there was working for Disney 411 as a reporter. As well as acting, Jackson is also into the music scene and plays the guitar and the harmonica. On his free time off set he likes to play his music, write, sing and produce.

One of his more noteable TV roles was as Nicholas Fiske in ABC's Beautiful People, which premiered in Fall 2005.

Jackson was cast to play Jasper Hale, in the upcoming book turned movie Twilight. He's very close friends with his co-star Ashley Greene, who plays his love interest in the movie, Alice Cullen.
