Iron, Forged in Fire is the first and second episodes of the first season of Iron Man: Armored Adventures. An accident occurs in the plane that industrial genius and head of Stark International Howard Stark and his son Tony Stark are in, causing Howard to die and Tony's heart not able to work on its own. Tony now takes on an armored suit he invented and becomes Iron Man. Because of Howard's death, Stark International is now run by Obadiah Stane, who wants to turn the company into a weapons manufacturer. Meanwhile, the Mandarin starts his quest to collect powerful rings.
