[edit] Happenings
- Sango's Hiraikotsu is broken in half, mirroring when Tetsusaiga was cut in two by the fangs of the same demon.
- Totosai repairs the Tetsusaiga using one of Inuyasha's fangs. It is now heavier as a result.
[edit] Characters
- Sesshomaru uses Tenseiga twice in this episode: once to heal Goshinki's head so a sword can be made from it, and once to bring Jaken back to life. Apparently bringing Jaken back to life redeems Sesshomaru in the eyes of Jaken, since Sesshomaru previously "tested" Tenseiga by cutting Jaken in half.
- This is the second time we have seen Inuyasha in his weaker human form. Sango finds out for the first time in this episode; Miroku was told at some point before the episode by Shippo, but this is the first time he sees it.
- Kaijinbo was a student of Totosai, cast out for creating rogue swords - including one that he slaughtered ten children to forge. His newest sword, Tokijin, continues this trend.
- Miroku uses a spiritual attack for the first time. Kagome is surprised to learn he has powers other than the Wind Tunnel.
