Plot Overview
A task force assembled to investigate the serial killings of homosexual man nabs a suspect, a local painter who admits to all but one of the killings. Strongly suspecting that man's death was the work of a copy cat, Hunter is assigned to re-open the investigation into his murder and soon begins to suspect that the victim's sexual preference had nothing to do with why he was killed. He also discovers a shocking secret about one of the task force members, an ambitious young detective who's after a position in the Commissioner's office. Meanwhile, McCall has to look into other members of the task force, including Hunter's nemesis, Sgt. Drasso, to find a possible security leak related to the case.
