Plot Overview
A baby is found in a hotel suite where a brutally murdered woman's body is also found. Hunter learns that the dead woman was the baby's biological mother and that she kidnapped the baby from her adoptive parents. He also discovers that the victim worked on the campaign of an up-and-coming Senator, and eventually learns that the Senator is the baby's biological father. When a two-bit private eye crosses Hunter's path several times during the case, he begins to see a blackmail scheme come into view.
