Trivia
The Hanover Park High School Marching Band was invited on the show because they were the lead-off band on the Macy's Thanksgiving's Day Parade the year before. They were asked to play "Call Me Irresponsible," Jack Jones' signature theme, but in a higher key than he could sing, as a joke. Jones, the pro, almost completely hid his surprise. Unfortnately for the show, it also hid the joke, leaving Jones to struggle through the song.
The Show
Behind the Scenes
Woody Allen nervously tugged a hat down over his eyes until the moment he had to walk out onto the stage, while, in the wings, the Zombies looked relaxed in their black and white makeup.
