Plot Overview
Pierre, a carrier for the Underground is capture by Klink's guards when he is spotted outside the camp. Schultz brings him to Klink. He had been searched and no papers can be found on him. He was carrying secret information vital to the Underground. The heroes managed to gets the secret papers before Schultz could search him. Klink becomes suspicious of this, and has Pierre placed in the cooler until Klink can determine what to do with him. Hogan decides not to wait, and tries to talk Klink out of doing anything which might include calling the Gestapo. While Hogan is talking to Klink, LeBeau attempts to retrieve the secret papers and a gun that Pierre was carrying with him. LeBeau is able to retrieve the papers, and bury the gun under the snow, but not before the gun fired a shot through Klinks window. This accidental firing inspires an idea in Hogan. This idea will be used to spring Pierre from the cooler. The idea is to convince Klink that someone is out to kill him. Klink is unconvinced at first, but after Hogan and his men stage two near accidents on Klink, then the commandant becomes convinced. Klink talks Hogan into becoming a decoy (this is really Hogan's idea, but Hogan convinces Klink) Klink will hide in his quarters until the mysterious assassin shows his hand. With Klink safely in his quarters, Hogan can spring Pierre. He will later convince Klink that Pierre was not a spy, just a civilian taking a stroll.
