Sticky Wicket Newkirk is the twentieth episode of the third season of Hogan's Heroes, and the eighty-second episode overall.

Plot Overview

Newkirk is arrested by the Gestapo while in Town.He is having liasion with a Woman called Greta while in civilian clothes.He is returned to Stalog 13.Expecting to get the usual 30 Days in the Cooler,Newkirk,Hogan,and even Schultz are surprized by Klinks decision not put Newkirk in the Cooler.They are surprized however by Klinks decison to have Newkirk tranferred to another Stalog.It is Klinks new plan to end Prison escapes by breaking up Hogans men,and tranferring them.Hogan will not allow Newkirk to be tranferred.This decision by Klink could'ny of come at a worst time.Hogan,and his men are in the middle of an assignment sent by London.Hogan would give Newkirk a Gun(secretly hidden on him).He instructs Newkirk to escape whenever he gets the opportunity,to meet with their Underground contacts,and head off to England.Newkirk escapes,but instead of heading to England,Newkirk goes back to help that Woman he was with earlier.The Woman convinced Newkirk that she wanted to defect to the Allies.Newkirk believing her to be real in defecting brings her into their Barracks,through their Tunnel.It is soon revealed that the Woman Greta is really a Gestapo Agent.Having broken security by bringing the Woman through the Tunnel,Newkirk may have sealed his,and the other Heroes fate.Hogan comes up with a plan to not only hide any evidence of their Underground activities,but to discredit the Womans claim,and make her look like a double agent.This plan works,and the Woman is arrested as a double agent.Even better for the Heroes,Klink changes his policy on tranferring Prisoners who attempt to escape.
